We ask for the Grace of Fortitude, which ensures firmness in difficulties and constancy in the pursuit of good.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
1) "While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, 'Take and eat; this is my body.' Then he took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, 'Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.' "

2) "Jesus said to them, 'Amen, amen, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.' " (John 6:32-33)

3) "So they said to him, 'Sir, give us this bread always.' Jesus said to them "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst." (John 6:34-35)

10) "Then many of his disciples who were listening said, 'This saying is hard; who can accept it?' As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him. Jesus then said to the Twelve, 'Do you also want to leave?' Simon Peter answered him, 'Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words to eternal life.' " (John 6:60, 66-68)
