Beijing, 11 April 2003
Tday we went to the Lama Tepmple, YongHeGong in Chinese, and to Panjiayuan market.
The entrance of the Lama Temple, Yonghegong.
Isn't this the cutest bin? U can see a lot of these in Beijing, mainly in temples and near touristic attractions.
This was one of those things where they burn incense. Check out the sign on the right-hand side that says No Smoking...
Here u can c the deco in different colors... Definitely one of my better photos I think.
This was a mini house, carved in jade I think... And completely detailed as well! W roof deco and everything.
The made a bridge to connect the 3 temples. The same bridge is on the other side, but I couldn't get it all into 1 photo.
This is the main temple where the humungous Buddha is in.
More deco of course... I just love Chinese roofs.
Panjiayuan market. During the week this is what it looks like. During the weekend there is a really big antique market going on, but as it was only Friday...
We were the only laowais there and everyone was offering us stuff, although in a v and non-pushy way.
The entrance to the Buddha Temple.
This is the guy who Vincent bought the tea from. He was kind enough to pose. I think he found it quite funny I wanted to take his photo... ;o)
