Tday we went to the zoo...
There r a lot of small shops like these around, selling all kinds of things.
We had arrived at the zoo. Smile!
(the characters in the background mean Beijing Zoo)
Chinese police bike
Da same one
The top stone was entirely carved.
They even had a few kangaroos there. This was the biggest one.
The monkeys even had their own playground!
The monkeys! There were so many on this part of the rock! Try and find them...
More monkeys
This was the cutest little family! They all just moved so I couldn't get them all in the pic, but it was a mommy, daddy and 2 kids. Completely adorable!
We moved on to the bears. This was the first bear we saw. Isn't he a cutie?
There were so many, u couldn't count them.
The same w the lions, there was only 1 outside. But he did look really pretty...
Of about 10 tigers, only 1 was outside...
This bear was begging for food w the ppl standing above him. He actually got some in the end.
The aquarium. I really wanted to go in, but 100RMB pp was a little bit too expensive for my liking.
The rest of them were in cages. In one cage, near where the ppl r standing, there were even 2 female tigers in one cage! And the cages were only like 3x3 meters...
We walked through the zoo and I saw this island-like photo opp. Guess I just have a thing for trees w water...
We had finally found the pandas. I must say they r even cuter than the kid. All nice and cuddly...
Chinese kids can b so cute sometimes! Even if it is just from a distance...
This was another one, the island was just tiny!
Ah, Lunch!
This one even posed for me, check out how he is trying to look his best for da photo!
After the zoo we went to HRC! yes, I was ecstatic! :o) At the exact same spot as just about 4 years earlier, I had Vincent take my photo...
The ceiling @ HRC. I always find it fascinating. As there was no chance of lying on the floor and taking a proper pic this time, I had to photograph it in pieces.
The Beatles were also represented.
I liked the Chinese touch in the background as all stars were represented w some sort of Chinese cultural plc. Even w my favo: Tiantan, Temple of Heaven.
