Dublin Sight-Seeing Day, 23/03/03
Since I hadn't seen that much of Dublin yet, besides the shops, the pubs, Emilie and Vincent took me on a Dublin tour.
We took a Dublin Tour Bus and drove along O'Connell Street first. This clock is on top of the souvenir shop.
And a v nice old tree.
First stop: Merrion Square where I finally saw the statue of Oscar Wilde.
I'm in a park, whoopie!
And later me too.
This was a statue of someone who had been tortured and then died and now was being enbalmed (or so I think). Anyway, we were kind of joking around w it... Here is Emilie...
Emilie took a snapshot of Vincent as he was thinking how silly we were being... Gotcha!
I really liked this statue, which stood in front of the tower. It has something to do w eh...
Then we went to Dublin Castle and walked around a bit there. This was one of the towers.
@ the entrance/exit of Dublin Castle, you can c these guard houses. Of course we had to use them! Hahaha... Now the plc is secure @ last. As we passed St Patrick's Cathedral (I think), Emilie said this would b a nice photo opp. Consequently, I almost fell out of the bus getting this photo...
Vincent & Emilie were waiting patiently as I was waiting for all the ppl to leave so I could take a nice pic of the statue...
And I enjoyed a nice moment in the sun.
By this time we were all getting kind of giggly and tired...
Next stop: Phoenix Park. I had never been there, and it was humungous! Luckily the bus drove us all the way into it! This was kind of the main area I think...
As we were walking back home, we came across this adorable little church.
And joking around w Vincent of course as usual. Hahaha...
And this prison. Well, it used to b one anyway.
