On December 2nd, I received an email regarding an incident which took place in October 2003. I followed this email up with a call to the reporting witness and I was able to ascertain the following. In mid-October, two friends were taking an early morning walk to a nearby convenience store when they felt that they were being followed through a line of trees across the street. Both witnesses noticed an awful lingering smell in the air which was described as being a mixture of musky odor and damp fur. Each witness also saw something through the trees which appeared to be between seven and eight feet tall. Upon returning home from the convenience store they returned to the wooded area with a third friend. The original witnesses noticed something moving in the woods and the third witness, believing that somebody was trying to scare them, proceeded into the woods. It wasn't long until he came running out of the woods screaming for his friends to run. Once at the home of the person responsible for reporting the event, the third witness described that he had seen an extremely tall, furry and ugly creature crouch down and stare eye to eye with him. According to the eyewitness the creature just stood there staring, giving the witness the idea that the creature was curious as to what he was. The witness did not feel threatened, although the sight of this creature did put quite a scare into him. Upon further discussion via telephone with the witness responsible for reporting the incident, I learned a few unique items pertaining to the actual appearance of the creature which I will not publish at this time due to their unique nature.
