Big Banners Or Big Hearts

By Saly Wright & Mary Bierman

"Yeah, though I speak with the tongues of men and angels and have not love it profitith me nothing". It seems to me when we are putting others down for their beliefs, no matter how wrong they are, this is not showing love. "Love suffereth long and is kind ". If we are going to try to correct someone it should be done in love and in all kindness. Hey, we all make mistakes, and we all have a lot to learn. Let him who is perfect cast the first "stone". However, until we reach perfection let us not throw stones at Yahweh's children.

Our Father wants mercy, a contrite heart. Not a white flag flying high held on a pole in our hand that has all of our do & don'ts, an doctrines written on it. He wants us to be changed from the person we are in the natural that we read about in Gal. 5: to what we read about a few verses lower than those verses in Gal. 5:

Hearts to love, have compassion, all the characteristics of Him in our daily walk. When people look at us they see a person that in trials, testings, what ever they may be, how they act is in the love like we see in 1 Cor.13: When everyone else is loosing their cool, they are at peace. When others are angry, and stormy in actions, they even in being upset, act in love, speak in love, feel love.

Our lives needs to be so reflective of our Father's character, that when others look at us they can say, "I don't know how they can act so peaceful, so loving, so what ever, it just simply is not natural." That leaves us an open door, through a silent witness, to speak volumes.

One have have a banner that is so weighty with writing that they can hardly hold it up. It will not be the banner they look at, but the one holding the banner.

Phil.4:8 Whatsoever is lovely, of truth, of good report, think upon these things.
