"There's no love like parrot love"
I was so touched by this that I just had to publish it on the site!

Last week I went away to Newcastle for 5 days and Tikki, my Grey, stayed at home (not alone!  He was well looked after!)  When I returned home, Tikki almost exploded with excitement and happiness!  He started making his babyish 'goo-goo-ga-ga'' sounds that he used to make when I first got him.  He was 'kissing' me all over and cuddling into me.  He was so excited that I was worried he might make himself sick or worse so i tried to calm him down as quickly as I could by giving him his favourite tickles.

The reason I was so touched is because at the tender age of 10 months, Tikki has already become a very independent little Grey who knows what he wants and when he wants it, and although I respect him for it, sometimes it can leave you feeling a little 'unloved' by him!  His little outburst of joy at his mummy coming home reminded me what a special relationship I have with my parrot and how rewarding it is when he tells me how much he loves me, and there's no love like parrot love.
