| Conservation Organizations: The World Wildlife Fund was founded in 1961 and now has offshoots in over a hundred different countries worldwide. WWF uses both local, community programs and political negotiation to help endangered species on our planet. The IUCN (or International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resourse, aka: World Conservation Union) was founded in Switzerland in 1948.
