The name Hawkeye came from his father, Dr. Daniel Pierce. His father named him after a character in the book "TheLast of the Mohicans". He was born and raised in Crabapple Cove Maine and as a boy his first job was at Ballinger's Drugstore delivering things on his bicycle. In Boston, he took up his medical career which is where and when he met Trapper John(Another character in M*A*S*H.)




The nickname 'trapper' came from a time when he was back in Boston. In that time period he trapped a beauty queen in the ladies bathroom of a train car which is hardly the truth, thats just what the lady said to the conductor when they were caught in the bathroom having sex... Boston is his home town. He is of course a Red Sox fan and he is married with two Daughters; Becky and Kathy.





He attended the University of Illinois which is his home state, and his home town is Bloomington. He has a son Andrew and he has two daughters Janie and Molly and is married to a woman named Lorraine. Sadly his plane was shot down over Japanese water's while on his way home(in the tv series, not in real life).






His hometown is Fort Wayne, Indiana, and was born April 13th. In his earlier years in high school he was president of the school stamp club and wrote for the school newspaper. He was called 'Ferret Face' because he didn't have a visible chin, and he was called Lipless wonder. This is due to the fact that he didn't look like he had any lips according to Hawkeye and the others.


She spent her early years at Fort Ord, California, after being born in an army hospital. Her father is "Howitzer" Al Houlihan and her mother was an army nurse. Margaret was stationed in Tokyo before going to the 4077th, and she has a sister who is also an Army Nurse. When she made it to the 4077th, she maintained the position of head nurse.





Radar got into the medical field of the army because he failed the medical to be a marine, which is what he really wanted to be. He was born and raised on a farm in Ottumwa, Iowa. When radar was very young, his father died. The meening of his nickname is very simple, it just meens he is able to know about things before they happen(like when he says,"oh no, choppers).




He was home to Hannibal, Missouri and got his name from the famous General William 'T' Sherman. He served in the first world war at 15 years old, and was then inspired by his Uncle Roy to study medicine and to become an army doctor. In 1932 he became a surgeon while being a father to a boy named Cory, who is a dentist, and a grandpa to Cheryl Pershing Potter. He enjoys writings from the author Zane gray and his hero is Abraham Lincoln. And while taking his brakes and relaxing, he likes to look after his horse and he often is found painting pictures.




BJ got the name 'BJ' because his mother's name was Bea and his father's name was Jay, so they decided to name him BJ in combining their first names. He studied at Stanford Medical School. He was born in Mill Valley, California, and he took his medical residency in Sausilitio California. He took five weeks of army training at Fort Sam Houston before leaving for Korea, and he is married to a woman named Peg. He was married on the 24th of May, he has a baby daughter named Erin, and a dog called waggle.




He was born and raised in Boston, and has a sister name Honoria. He graduated at the top of his class from Harvard Medical School in 1943, and is known as an 'Intellectual'.

He has spent a lot of his time trying to prove he's crazy by dressing up as a woman, nun, Moses, Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz", the statue of Liberty to greet General Mcarthur, and he also dressedlike scarlet O'Hara. He did all these crazy things to try to get out of the army.




Nobody seems to know exactly where he was from, but we do know that Fr. Marty "Boom Boom" Gallagher inspired him to become a chaplain. We also know that he studied for the priesthood in Philadelphia and he has a sister named Katherine who is a nun.
