Fleetwood Mac
October 18th, 2003
@ MGM's Grand Garden
This was my fifth and final time seeing Fleetwood Mac on this tour. It feels as though I’ve come full circle because I saw them before the actual tour started, and saw them in Las Vegas on the last night of the Northern American leg.

This night was extra special for the band because Stevie told the audience that Fleetwood Mac’s tour manager would no longer be with them. She said that he was moving on to manage Bette Midler. They way Stevie screamed “Bette Midlerrrrrr!” was hilarious! She said it in a non-approving way. Then the audience began to boo.

The set list was the same as it has been since the first week of the tour. When the band left the stage for the second encore, a lot of people left because as usual, most people did not know they would be doing another song.

Tickets were extremely expensive for this show so we got the cheapest ones. We were basically in the back and near the top of the venue. It was nice just to be there that night, and in Vegas! I had never been to MGM’s Grand Garden. The venue didn’t even frisk people for anything, so I could have brought in a camera! However, we were so far back that it wouldn’t have mattered anyway.

I bought the brown teddy bear since the one I ordered from Fanfire is white, as well as a mug. Apparently a lot of the merchandise was sold for lower prices because it was the last night of that leg of the tour.

All in all it was a great show as usual. The band sounded great. Hopefully they will come back to the U.S. next year!
