Mildred Potter Played By: Spring Byington Potter’s wife of….something between 27-36 years, also mother of their two children Cory and Evy. Her picture was frequently seen on the right side of his desk. He always had a pang of guilt about being away from her for so long, but when he went home, he planned on being ‘Mrs Potter’s Mr Potter.’
Colonel Lillian Rayburn Played By: Carmen Mathews Occupation: Army Nurse When Lil came to inspect Margaret’s nurses, Potter was ecstatic about having someone his own age to talk with. He was just happy with someone who went through WW1, not just read about it in a textbook. Lil had something else in mind; she liked Potter and wanted more. Being the happily married man he was, he turned her down, but they remained friends. Seen in 'Lil'.
Brandi Doyle Played by: Gwen Verdon Occupation: USO Trooper and ex-stripper Brandi was an EXTREMELY colourful character who found a friend in Potter (and also Margaret). Whilst nothing romantic happened, the two got on like a house on fire. Plus at the end she gave him a kiss right on the lips!
Colette Simply known as Colette, she was a French nurse in WW1. When a young Potter was temporarily blinded she looked after him and he thought he was in love. When the blindfold came off he saw the real woman, he wished the blindfold had stayed on.
(Woman mentioned in Strange Bedfellows) Potter DID cheat on Mildred, once. All we know is that he went home with her, he felt horrible about it, and that he thought Mildred always suspected something.
Doris Day As mentioned in 'Your hit Parade', Potter fell in love with Doris Day, and never took Mrs Potter to see any of her movies. |
