On October 22, 2001,
Fairport Lodge, No. 476 held a public Awards
Program to celebrate outstanding contributions to
the Fairport Community, our Fraternity and our
Country. There were over 50 people in attendance
including representatives from the Perinton Town
Council, Fairport Central School District,
Fairport School Principals, and the Fairport
Mayor and the Town Supervisor of Perinton. Fairport Masonic Lodge Community
Service Awards were presented to Debra Tandoi,
Dick Hastings and Dick Laidlaw in recognition of
their work and energy in making the Assets
Building program a remarkable success in the
Fairport-Perinton community.
The Fairport-Perinton
Assets Building program is partnership between
the Town of Perinton, Village of Fairport, and
the Fairport Central School District, together
with parents, neighbors, youth teachers,
congregations, and businesses to encourage and
support the healthy development of all our young
people. It is a wonderful program that is truly
making a difference and improving the quality of
life in our community.
In recognition of
outstanding service to our Fraternity, Masonic
Anniversary Certificates and pins were presented
to the following Brothers: 25-Year Certificates
to W:. George R. Bracht and Brother Roy J.
Forest; 50-Year Certificates to Brothers Roy E.
Borrowman, Albert Castellani, Rev. High B.
Chittendin, Robert L. Koehler and W:. Theodore V.
Summers, Jr.; 55-Year Certificates to Brothers
Elmer L. Hess and Robert N. Gifford; and 60-year
certificates to Brothers Alfred K. Miller and
Gordon F. Steinfeldt. We thank you all for making
a difference in our Fraternity.
The Veterans of Fairport
Lodge were also recognized for their outstanding
service to our Country and were presented
Veterans Recognition Certificates. Brother Peter
Swanson, member of Fairport Lodge and Commander
of the Fairport VFW Post made the presentations.
