Birthday Wish

Dedication- To all those diehard Pacey & Andie fans. To my best friends
forever Sarah & Shantell. And most of all to my English teacher  for WHOM I'm
writing this for, for a writing assignment.
Summary- January of the 3rd season. Around Andie's 17th birthday. That's all
I'm gonna say. Andie and Pacey are broken up.

   It was January 16th, 4 days ‘til Andie's 17th birthday. She had one wish
she wanted more than anything. One thing that she wanted for her birthday.
The problem is that there was only one person who could give her that wish.
Her wish was to have Pacey as her boyfriend again and that one person who
could give it to her was Pacey.
   Pacey and Andie had remained best friends since they broke up. They spend
most of their time together. But things weren’t always like this. At first
they couldn’t be in the same room as eachother without fighting. But soon that
ended and they decided to remain friends. Most people didn’t think it could
work but they did it. They became the best friends eachother had. Deep down
inside they were both very much in love with eachother. Little to Andie's
knowledge, Pacey was planning on giving her an extra special present for her
birthday. It was the one thing she wanted more than anything and even though
she didn’t tell a soul about it, Pacey could tell that's the only thing she
wanted.
   That afternoon Pacey and Andie walked home from school together to work
on a project.
"So McPhee, what do ya wand for your birthday?"
"Oh I dunno" Andie said thinking about what she really wanted. "CD's, books,
gift certificates...y' know whatever."
   Pacey laughed to himself. He knew she was lying. He knew what she really
wanted.

Finallay January 20th arrived. Andie decided on having a small party with
only her close friends. So that was basically, Pacey, Joey, Dawson, Jen, and
Jack. They spent the evening dancing around to music and talking about stuff.
Finally the it was time for cake and ice cream. The gang gathered around the
table and they sang Happy Birthday to Andie...
" Now you gotta make a wish" Joey said
Andie smiled and thought "I wish that I had Pacey back" she blew out the
candles.
" So what did you wish for" Jack asked
" I can't tell you or it wont come true" She replied to him
They ate their cake and ice cream and then gathered in the room so Andie
could open her presents.
She opened each person's presents. She got from....
Jen  A gift certificate to American Eagle
Joey: A couple of CD's
Dawson: 2 Movies
Jack: A gift certificate to Gap
"There's one present left" Dawson said indicating the small rectangle box
that said
"Open Me Last" on it. Andie picked up the box that she knew was from Pacey.
It was wrapped in gold wrapping paper with a red bow. She carefully unwrapped
the paper to reveal a black box. She took off the lid of the box where she
found a silver locket with a white piece of paper that said "Read Me" on it.
Andie was in complete and utter shock. She unfolded the small piece of white
paper. On it was written this....

Andie,
    I love you and I always will
                      Love Forever and Always
                              Pacey

A single tear fell from Andie's face. She turned around to face Pacey who was
standing right behind her and hugged him while tears started falling from
both of their faces. She whispered into his ear " I love you too" and with
that Pacey looked deep into her eyes and kissed her. The kiss was gentle at
first but gradually became more and more passionate. Everyone else around
them was in shock. They didn’t know what exactly to think.
Within the next hour everyone besides Andie, Jack and Pacey left. Jack
departed to his bedroom leaving Andie and Pacey downstairs alone. Pacey began
to clean up the mess of dirty dishes, pop cans and wrapping paper but Andie
stopped him.
"Thank you" She told him
" You're welcome" He smiled and leaned in to kiss her. After their kiss he
lead her outside to the back porch. He wrapped a blanket around her and they
sat together on the step and watched the snow fall. Andie's birthday wish
came true.
