Fairy Tale
By Cat
Jack tried to fly as fast as he
could. "Jen, where are you going?" He yelled. "JEN!"
Jen
slowed down so Jack could join her. "What?" She asked, annoyed.
"We
can't go that far Jen. Grams told us. The big people live there. They are humans
down the creek."
"So
what? I'm not afraid!" She looked at Jack in a superior air. "You're
such a wimp!"
"No
I'm not!" Jack retorted. "I am reasonable. It's not the same thing.
The humans could capture you and kill you Jen."
"As
if! I fly way too fast for them to catch me!" Jen answered as she flew
away.
"Jen!
Don't go! Please..." But it was too late. Jen was already gone and she
couldn't here Jack anymore.

Jen arrived at Capeside. No
one was outside. It was dark and the entire town was asleep. Jen saw a light
coming from a window. She flew to it. The sight shocked her. A human was eating
another human. She watched for a few minutes. It was weird. The girl human
didn’t seem to mind at all. The guy left the girl’s mouth and the girl got up.
She smiled at him and said goodbye. She went to the door and the guy followed
her. They talked a little but Jen couldn’t hear them. She tried to open the
window. The girl left but Jen didn’t notice. She was concentrating too much on
her task. Finally, she succeeded. She pushed the window so hard that she fell
on a glass on the coffee table. The glass fell and she fell with it. She
trapped herself in the glass.
“Huh?”
The human turned around. He saw the water spilled on the floor and the glass.
There was something in the glass. He went to the glass and looked inside of it.
It was just a doll. A cat probably came in by the window. He closed the window.
He took the glass and put it on the table. The doll flew to the window. The
human looked at the doll, shocked. Jen tried to escape but the window was
closed. She couldn’t open it. She saw the human approach her.
“Let
me go. Please don’t hurt me.” She pleaded.
“You
talk?” The human asked, half-surprised half-scared.
“Of
course I talk! I have a mouth, can’t you see it?” Those humans were definitely
dumb.
“Who,
what are you?”
Jen
flew to the coffee table and extended her hand. “My name is Jennifer. But
everyone calls me Jen. And I am a fairy.”
The
human laughed. “A fairy, huh? Can you do some magic?”
“No.
I’m too young. My Grams can though. She is the best magician of the community.”
“How
come I’ve never seen fairies before?”
“Because
it’s forbidden.”
“Forbidden
to what?”
“To
leave the village.”
Pacey
smirked. “Ah, you’re a bad fairy. Interesting.”
“I’m
not. And how dare you judge me when I don’t even know you’re name!” Jen
exclaimed.
“It’s
Pacey.”
“Pacey?
You, humans, have such weird names. And weird habits too. Why were you eating
that girl?”
“Eating? I wasn’t eating anyone!”
“Yes
you were. That brunette who was here a few minutes ago.” Jen said
matter-of-factly.
“Joey.
She’s my girlfriend. I wasn’t eating her. I was kissing her!”
“Kissing?
That didn’t look like kissing to me!”
“Well
how do you kiss?”
“We
put our lips together for a few seconds.” Jen answered. “That’s kissing.”
Pacey
laughed. “Well my dear girl you’ve been missing out on something!”

"JACK"
Someone yelled. Jack turned around. It was Matt.
He
smiled. "Hey Matt. What's up?"
"Not
much. Where's your significant other?"
"Ha
ha. Jen is not my significant other. She's only my friend."
Matt
smiled warmly. "Whatever. Where is she?"
Jack
began to feel uncomfortable. He couldn't tell Matt that Jen went to Capeside.
"Um, I don't know."
"She
left with you and you came back alone! You must know. Come on, you can tell
me." He winked at Jack.
Jack
sighed. "You promise you won't tell a soul?"
"I
swear."
"She
went to Capeside."
"The
Human Town?!" Matt yelled.
Jack
put his hand on Matt's mouth. "Shhh. what if the Wise Fairies heard you?
Jen would be in big trouble."
Matt
put his hand on Jack's and removed it from his mouth but kept holding Jack's
hand. "Sorry."
Jack
nodded but didn't really care. All he could think of was Matt holding his hand.
His heart began to beat faster.
"We
should go get Jen." Matt said softly.
"Yeah.
You're right" And they flew away.

“This whole kiss talk has
made me wonder how do you 'make' babies?”
“What?”
“How
do you have children? You little baby fairies…”
“Ah…uh
I don’t know exactly. I know that there’s a connection. There’s a magic spell
and all but it’s a big secret. The oldest fairies in the village teaches the
newlyweds the spell. My Grams is one of them.”
“Well
I think the human way is a lot more enjoyable.” Pacey laughed.
“oh
and what do you do?”
“I
think this is not for your innocent ears.”
The
last comment infuriated Jen. “How dare you treat me like a child? Maybe I a lot
smaller but I’m sure I am older than you are!”
“Really?
How old are you?”
“16!”
“Well
I’m 16 too.”
“Oh.”
Jen said embarrassed.
Pacey
smiled. “Listen pretty little fairy, let’s not argue about meaningless things.
I’d like us to be friends.”
Jen
smiled. “I’d like that too. I’ll come as often as I can!”
“JEN!”
Jen
and Pacey looked at the window. Jack and Matt were outside calling Jen.
“It’s
Jack!” Jen exclaimed.
"Is
he your boyfriend?"
"No."
Jen answered as she flew to the window. "He's just a friend. He's more
interested in that Matt character."
"Matt?"
Pacey asked confused.
"The
guy who's with him. Jack is gay, or bi, or whatever. I'm not so sure now
because I saw him flirt with Miranda the other day."
"Ah.
So you have gay people in your community?" Pacey asked as he opened the
window for Jack and Matt.
"Yeah.
What's wrong with that?" Jen asked icely.
"Nothing."
Pacey said defensively.
Jack
went to Jen and took her in his arms. "Are you ok Jen? Did he hurt you?"
Jen
laughed softly. "No. Don't worry. The human is pretty cool. You'll
see."
"Yeah.
Whatever. Let's go home." He led Jen outside and Matt followed them. After
a while, Jack came back annd looked at Pacey coldly.
"It
seems that she likes you. I don't know why but she does. So listen to me; I
know some magic spells that could make your life a living hell, so if you hurt
her, in any way, you'll have to
answer to me."
With
that he left.

The
next day, Jack and Jen were in Jen’s room discussing what happened the night
before.
“So
they were kissing with their mouths opened and their tongues inside each
other’s mouths? That’s gross.” Jack said.
“That’s
what I thought but the guy said that it was pretty amazing.”
“Really?”
“Yeah…”
The room was silent for a long time. After a while, Jen spoke. “Wanna try?”
Jack
was totally taken aback. “WHAT?”
“Do
you want to try? Maybe, we’ll like it.”
“NO!”
Jack said horrified.
“What
are you scared of? I promise I won’t tell your boyfriend Matt about it.”
“Matt,
is not my boyfriend.”
“Uh
huh. If you say so. Come on Jack let’s try. Pleeeeaaaase.” She said pouting her
bottom lip.
Jack
sighed. It couldn’t be that bad. “Okay. But you have to swear on your
Grams
that you won’t say anything to anyone, especially Matt.”
Jen
grinned happily. “I swear.” She jumped on Jack’s lap.
“Woah.
What are you doing?”
“Positioning
myself. Come on, it’s no big deal.”
“Well
I think it is.”
Jen
put her hand on Jack’s mouth to hush him. She, then, caressed Jack’s cheek
softly. His skin was so nice and soft. She leaned forward and touched her lips
with his. She started to move gently her mouth on his. Tentatively, Jack opened
his mouth and Jen put her tongue in his mouth immediately. She touched his
tongue with hers. The touch was electrifying. Either of them ever felt
something like that before. Instinctively, they started to dance with their
tongues. Jen moaned loudly.
“Hmmm…Jack.
This feels so good.” She said as she kissed Jack passionately.
“Oh,
my God, Jen…” Jack moaned. He bucked his pelvis and his crotch touched hers.
Jen whimpered.
“God…”
She bucked her hips several times trying to get more contact. There was a
certain burning between her legs she never felt before and it felt so good when
she made contact with Jack’s hard…
“Jack!
What’s that?” Jen asked mortified as she pulled away.
“Huh?”
Jack was totally confused.
“That
thing you have between your legs. It’s hard. I never noticed you had that
before” Jen said embarrassed. “It felt…um…good.”
“Good?”
Jen
blushed furiously. “Yeah…um…when there’s a friction, I feel…”
“What?
How do you feel?”
“Hot,
excited…you? Don’t you feel anything?”
“Oh
yeah, I do. Hot and excited and…aroused?”
“Yeah…aroused.
God Jack, I never thought this would feel so good.”
“Me
neither.” And they started to kiss again.
“Jack…Jack…this
feels so good…”
Jack
smiled as he kissed Jen. “Yes it does…I wonder how it would feel with Matt…”
Jen
got off Jack’s lap. “Matt? What does Matt have to do with this?”
Jack
got up as well. “Come on Jen. You know how I feel about Matt.”
“Well
what about me?” Jen was frustrated.
“I
thought you didn’t care. You didn’t seem like to care before we kissed.
Besides, you’ re my best friend Jen. The best I could ever ask for.”
“Well
sometimes being friends is not enough.” And with that she left the room.
* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *
Jen
tapped as hard as she could on the window. Pacey went to the window and looked
outside. When he saw the little fairy, he smiled and opened the window.
"Hey
little Jennie."
"Little
Jennie?"
Pacey
smiled. "Well you're little and you're cute. Little Jennie is a cute
nickname. It fits you perfectly."
Jen
frowned. "I don't want to be cute. I want to be beautiful."
Pacey
laughed. "I'm sure there are many fairies in your Fairyland who think
you're hot. But you're just some cute little fairy to me. You're too
small."
Pacey
went to the kitchen and Jen sat down on the table. "No one is attracted to
me. Not even Jack."
"I
thought he was gay." Pacey said as he poured himself a cup of coffee.
"Coffee?"
"He's
bisexual. And what is coffee?"
"You
don't know what coffee is?"
Jen
shook her head. "No. Can I have some?"
"Maybe
you shouldn't. Maybe you're too small or something for coffee."
Jen
didn't say anything. What was wrong with her size? That human thought he was SO
superior to her.
"Hey
don't pout little Jennie. I just care about you and I don't want you to get
hurt or anything. Coffee is a pretty strong beverage. Maybe it could hurt you
really bad."
Jen
sighed. "Maybe..."
"Come
on cheer up!" Pacey said. "I'll show you some TV shows. I bet you
don't have any TV in your community or whatever you call it."
Jen's
interest was peaked. "TV? What's that? Can it hurt me?"
"No.
Don't worry. Come sit on the couch."
Jen
sat on the couch beside Pacey and watched the screen in front of them.
Pacey
and Jen spent the entire afternoon watching TV and talking about their lives.
Jen even told Pacey about what she did with Jack that morning. When Jen left
Pacey's apartment, they had become really good friends. And Jen liked it, she
liked it a lot.
* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *
When Jen entered her room,
she was greeted by a "Where have been?" from Jack.
"Out."
She answered nonchalantly.
"Jen.
Tell me."
"God.
You're not my father." She said angrily.
Then
she saw the hurt in Jack's eyes. "I went to see Pacey."
"The
human guy?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Because
I like him!" Jen said exasperated.
Jack
frowned. "You like
him?"
"Not
that way." Jen sighed. She looked in Jack's eyes. "I like you that
way."
Jack
started to feel uncomfortable. "Jen, I..."
Jen
looked down. "I know. You like Matt. I understand."
Jack
lifted Jen's chin. "Do you really?"
Jen
nodded silently.
"Thank
you. I have to go now. Bye Jen."
Jen
didn't trust her voice to say goodbye. She watched Jack leave. Then, she laid
down her bed and cried. She tought it was unfair that she never got the guy.
Was she really that unattractive?
"You're crazy!"
"Joey..."
Joey
was sitting on the couch, watching Pacey in disbelief. "A fairy? Have you
lost your mind?"
"No.
Joey, it's true."
"Okay.
I'm gonna leave now. I won't tell anyone about this but don't ever speak to me
again. Weirdo."
She
got up and left. Pacey sat on the couch and put his head in his hands. Why did
he tell her? Of course she didn't believe him. He wouldn't believe himself!
Pacey
hear a noise coming from the window. It was Jen. He opened the door. She came
in and went to her usual spot: the coffee table. She sat down and cried.
Pacey
knelt down in front of the table. "Hey...what's wrong?" He said
softly.
"Jack's
in love with Matt." Jen murmured looking down at the table.
Pacey
smiled despise Jen's sadness. She was so cute. "He told you that?"
"He
said he likes him but I know
he's in love with him. I see it in his eyes."
"If
it makes you feel better, I broke up with Joey today. Well she dumped me but
that's irrelevant."
Jen
looked up. She was surprised. They seemed to really like each other.
"Why?"
"Because
of you."
"Me?
I don't even know her!"
"I
know. That's why actually. She thinks I'm crazy."
At
that precise moment, Joey walked in. "Pacey I forgot my..." Then she
saw Jen. "...coat"
She
walked slowly to the coffee table. She looked at Pacey and then at Jen. Then,
she looked at Pacey again. "Can she hurt me?"
Pacey
laughed. How could such a sweet, innocent thing like Jen could hurt anyone?
"No."
Joey
knelt down in front of Jen. "Are you for real?"
Jen
frowned. "What do you think?"
"You
talk?"
"I
have a mouth like you! Why do you, humans, always ask the same dumb questions?
The first time, it's fine but the second time, it gets tiring."
Joey
laughed. "You're a funny fairy. I can't believe what I'm seeing."
"I
couldn't believe it either."
Joey
turned to Pacey and smiled. "I'm sorry about what I said earlier
Pacey."
Pacey
smiled back. "It's ok Jo." He leaned in and kissed her forgetting
about Jen. Jen getting annoyed left the apartment. No one seemed to want her.
* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *
"Jennifer? Is that
you?" Grams asked as Jennifer entered the house.
"Yes
it's me, Grams." Jen entered the kitchen. "Do you want
something?"
"Sit
down. I need to speak with you."
"What's
wrong?"
"Where
were you Jennifer?"
Jen
blushed furiously. "In teh forest." It was the first time Jen ever
lied to her grandmother.
"That's
not what Jack told me."
"What
did he tell you?" Jen asked nervously.
"That
you were gone to the human town."
"I...I..."
"Jen
did Jack say the truth?"
Jen
looked at her grams. She always admired her. She admired her because she was
wise. She admired her because she was usually fair. She admired her because she
was kind. But tonight, she didn't admire her. Grams was treating her like a
child. Like she couldn't make her own decisions. She looked at her grams with
determination.
"Yes.
Jack told the truth. I went to the human town. And it wasn't the first
time."
Grams
was shocked. "Jennifer! What were you thinking?"
"Nothing.
You know sometimes the wise-fairies like you can be wrong. Humans aren't all
dangerous. I'm friends with a human in the town."
"You
are grounded. For a month."
Jen
looked at her grandmother angrily. "You cannot keep me locked in my room.
If I want to go to the human town I will go with or without your
permission."
She
left the house.
* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *
Without thinking, Jen flew to Capeside. Pacey would comfort her.
If that bitch Joey isn't with him. Pacey was all she had now that Jack was with
Matt. She never thought Jack would betray her like this. She cherished their
friendship so much. For so many years, he was everything for her. And she was
everything for him. But those glorious days are over now. Jack had Matt.
"Jen!"
Jen was already at Pacey's window. She looked at him through the
closed window. "Pacey..." She whispered. A warm fuzzy feeling erupted
in her heart as she said his name. "Is Joey there?"
"No she left." He opened the window. "Come on in.
It's cold outside. You must be freezing."
Jen shivered. She was cold. She had been so preoccupied by Jack
that she forgot how cold it was. She entered the apartment.
"You better come in my room. Doug, my brother, is supposed
to get home any minute now."
Jen followed Pacey to his room. She was a bit nervous. She had
never been to a human room before. And it was Pacey's room. The room was pretty
ordinary. Jen was disappointed. She didn't know what to expect but she didn't
expect a room like that. It was like Jack's room minus the television and the
radio. She stood on the bed and waited for Pacey to say something.
"So do you like my room?"
"It's okay."
"Okay? What's wrong with it?"
"Nothing. It's just that Jack has the exact same
room."
"Oh."
"Hello!"
They heard. It was Doug.
"Hey Doug." Pacey yelled. "I'm going to bed right
now, okay?"
"Okay."
"Now we're sure he won't come in and bother us. So what's
going on Jen?"
"What do you mean what's
going on?"
"Well you left abruptly a while ago and now you're back.
What's going on?"
Jen sighed. "Jack told Grams that I was coming here."
"Oh."
"Yeah, oh.
And now I had a really big fight with Grams. And Jack is probably with Matt so
-"
"Matt's Jack boyfriend right?"
"Yeah. So can I spend the night here?" She asked in a
tiny voice.
"Yeah sure. I think I can make you a bed."
Pacey took an empty kleenex box. He cute the top part. Then he
left the room. When he came back, he had in his hand, several handkerchiefs and
some cotton balls.
Jen laughed. "You have handkerchiefs?"
Pacey smiled. "Not me. My brother. He didn't come out of
the closet just yet."
"Jen laughed again as Pacey made her a tiny comfortable
bed. "Here." He said. "All done."
"Thanks." She got in the bed.
"Now close your eyes, I need to change."
She did as told, but ten seconds later, she opened her eyes. pacey had his
shirt off. She looked at his back. He had a nice back. She never thought that
someday, she'd like to wacth a back. Ten he took his pants off. Wow, Jen thought he looks nice in boxers. And to her
astonishment, Pacey took his boxers off. He had the nicest butt she had ever
seen. It was the only one she had ever seen but his butt looked soooo great.
The warm fuzzy feeling came back. AAnd now she felt hot and tingly between her
legs. She wasn;t sure what was going on.
Pacey put on other boxers and Jen closed her eyes.
"Done." Jen opened her eyes again. Pacey faced her
now. She smiled. He smiled back.
"Time for bed now." He said as he got in his bed.
"Good night Jen."
"Good night Pacey."
And Pacey turned off the light.
