In the fall of 2001 a group of frustrated broadcasting students living in Omaha, Nebraska, contrived a way of making their already hectic lives even busier. The fruit of their mindless busy work? More than a thousand new cocktails featuring rum. Bet you thought I was going to say Mass Transit. That comes later.

The Officially Unofficial
History of Mass Transit
After grappling with the nasty hangovers that come from guzzling gallons of sugarcane liquer, the group collected themselves, and a bunch of their friends, for one last alcohol-fueled party. This one however had a theme: How to get a television show on the air. There were no clear answers but they were moving in the right direction.

In February the collective shot and aired its first episode of Mass Transit titled "Episode One." It featured a poetry reading by Matt Mason and skits from the Mass Transit players. (We'll put up some video when we can.) Like the pig says, That's all folks.
