The Movie: This movie was huge and I mean huge. We all know what it's about. It's about Michael Moore bashing George Bush as a president. He wants us to change our votes and get Bush out as a president. Did it work on me? It did indeed. Now in this 2-hour documentary we got Mike narrating this, his face is not shown much like in Bowling for Columbine. Mike interviews members of congress and families who lost their kids in the war in IRAQ and he shows us what George Bush does as a president. First of he says George Bush is on vacation a lot. I didn't see that part a lot. Let the guy go on vacation, they need it. But what Michael did have a point about was for example. George was in Florida reading to some little kids and then he heard about the first plane that went into the WTC, so he just stayed there like a goon. Then he heard about the second plane and he still stayed there. If that was a smart president he would have left right away and see what's going on. You also get Bush and the members of congress doing nothing for nobody just for money. This movie was highly watch able and made me sad and mad. It made me sad because those poor troops fought in IRAQ for nothing. If Bush had everything organized maybe 9/11 wouldn't have had happened and the world would be a much safer place. It made me mad because this retard does not do anything. He just likes to bomb countries. Everyone will like watching this movie except for kids cause they will think it's boring. I give this movie an 8 because some parts were unnecessary and the opening credits were a bit dumb. But the movie was highly watchable and made me have a different perspective on Mr. Moore. He aint Anti-American, he is just telling people what kind of society we live in. He has mostly true points. The guy is whining but at least he is standing up and showing us how it all works. Props to him. The Disc: The packaging is a bit ugly. The front cover is ugly and I think the Canadian version is different. It's the black one with an envelope. The back is ugly and the disc is ugly, it's a sealed envelope. The sound is great for a documentary, same goes for the picture. This has no booklet thing. So the packaging was low. The Features: This doesn't need a two-disc treatment; all you need is a Main Menu, trailer, deleted scenes and a couple of mini documentaries. This disc offered it and that's all you need. I think it could have added footage though of WTC and terrorist attacks though. So the DVD gets an 8. Overall: This movie was watch able and it could play a factor in the presidential debate. Michael Moore is fat but he proves good points. He is just making movies on how those jackasses in head office are running things and making us miserable. Mike cant run for congress because he need's all this stuff, but at least he is showing us what is happening. The movie is great. It's a must see for Americans. This movie will do as a rental or a buy. Either or your happy. As long as you watch it. You decide the buy or the rent. The disc is great and so is the movie. It's a perfect DVD for the Gold Award. I suggest you rent or buy this one fast before the big boys come out next week.

The Day After Tomorrow -Released Oct 12th, 2004 -Dennia Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal -Written by Jay - 10/14/04 -DVD SCORE: 5/10 - Silver Award -Movie Score: 9/10
The Movie: The plot of the movie is pretty basic, the world has hit Global Warming, which is the end of the world because of the weather. The weather is bad and countries are being flooded and frozen. In the centre of this storm comes Professor Hall who predicted this would happen to the world and no one believed him. The storm comes and he finds out his son Sam (Gyllenhaal) is stuck in New York. Professor Hall then stops at nothing to go to New York and save him. The plot is to leave your brain at the door because some stuff in the movie is pretty impossible and he walked to New York with the cold weather, so leave your brain at the door. But I didn't see this movie to get a good story and feel the characters. I paid 7.50, well I saw it for free because when I saw Troy the movie shutdown so I got a free pass, but if I did pay, I would have paid to see big special effects and the world come to an end. Boy did the movie deliver. Critics bashed this and some Net Nerds did too because it had no story. IT'S A MOVIE! The movie was so great that I couldn't leave the theatre because I thought we would be snowed in. The effects are dazzling and spectacular. The movie was a great theatre going experience and I couldn't wait for the DVD to come out. I had fun watching this movie without my brain and it was fun. It was something I haven't seen before and seeing this was worth the wait. I give it a nine because some stuff in the movie went on for to long just a bit. So it gets a nine. Movie is very worth to see. But the DVD is a different story. The Disc: It's in French, but let's forget it is. First up, the packaging is totally cool. It comes with the cardboard slip in 3D! It looks so cool and the artwork is just great. I took out the slip and the Case is so well down. It looks so nice on my shelve. EXCEPT THE FRENCH. I opened the disc and found an offer by 20th Century Fox which is nice. Then I got a chapter list which I liked too. The disc itself was the buildings and it was blue, this DVD looked so nice. The sound of the movie was OMG. IN DTS! The speakers smelt after I played this movie loud. The quality was so great and this is the best movie I have to watch on Surround Sound and a big screen. The floor was shaking and boy I had fun watching this. The Disc is fine! It gets 4 points. That's the most we can give for a Disc rating. The Features: This is where The Day After Tomorrow is going to plunge 59 %. So we got two Audio Commentaries that are good. Pretty Nice. Then we got an Inside Look on Mr And Mrs.Smith, which I could care, less about. Then we have two Deleted Scenes, which is OK, standard for a DVD to have. Then we have a nice Audio thing where you put in your own music in for a scene, which is neat. That's all we get. It came with a bonus disc that's 14 minutes long that has like 5 movies trailers and behind the scenes, each movie was like 4 mins long and The Day After Tomorrow had one to. I don't know if all DVD's have that or if it was Future Shop. But anyways, Their was no other features, why? This is the 5th biggest movie of 2005 and we get nothing? I would like the single disc, that's fine, but they messed a second disc. This is the type of movie that deserves a two-disc set. I was so mad. 20th Century Fox sucks, and trust me; the next Corner is going to be about them. There will be a Re-Issue of this. There was no word on it but of course they'll have one. I hate this. We made you the 5th biggest movie of 2005. Reward us! The features suck in this, which doesn't make this DVD get a Gold Award. Overall: The movie gets a nine, if I wrote this on the Reviews page everybody should see it, I keep it that way. But as for a DVD it comes as a disappointment. For a movie that did so well, it got a crappy DVD. The DVD gets 4 for just how nice it looks and a one for the features. So this movie gets the Silver Award. A 5 out of 10. But this aint stopping me of any of us to buy this one. It's a movie and we probably won't spend time watching 10 hours of features. So I forgot about that and bought this movie and I am very happy with my purchase. It's a movie that should be on everyone's list and a Must Buy in the first week it comes out. This movie is not worth the Rent, it's worth the buy. This movie has sold already a lot of copies on it's first day. So we're doing a good. So the features suck on this, but the movie saves it. Worth the buy, it's a MUST HAVE!

Van Helsing -Released Oct 19th, 2004 -Hugh Jackman, Kate Beckinsale -Written by Jay - 10/21/04 -DVD SCORE: 7/10 - Gold Award -Movie Score: 8/10
The Movie: A lot of people pounded this movie because it sucked. That was the only reason. The movie is about Van Helsing who must vanquish evil forces like the Wolf Man, Frankenstein and Dracula. Along the way he gets help from Anna who also wants to take down Dracula. We get a silly storyline that's kinda dumb but easy to understand. So far it's going good. The opening goes good with a black and white intro and then we meet the Van Helsing character that kicks ass. Then we get the rest of the movie, which is all pretty much Big Budget action scenes that are fun. So let's start with the negatives. The movie was way to fake, like impossible action sequences from the characters and action that goes on and on. But then again, this is fictional. This movie is a story and it's not real. So it's ok. Another negative is that, this movie is hard to watch for a third time. It's a movie that you can see once in a while and it could be easily forgotten. But the character you'll love. Hugh Jackman is wonderful and Kate Beckinsale is…. well you know. So the movie gets an 8. For some positive notes, the movie has funny humor and it is pretty entertaining watching it on your big screen. The movie is just like The Mummy Returns just a new story and characters. So the movie is really entertaining and worth a watch. I enjoyed it and I'm glad I bought it. The Disc: Itself, it's a bat and it says Van Helsing. It looks wicked. The packaging is top notch with a slipcase, sadly no chapter booklet, just a promotional offer to get a FREE DVD, which makes it up. Easily gets the perfect 4. The quality was top notch and good to watch on the big screen. The sound I was a bit disappointed in, now the sound is great like awesome, but it's not as good as Day After Tomorrow. It does not have the DTS option to make it crazy. The reason was because the Disc was packed, if it was a Two Disc, the disc would be top notch. The Features: Now I was pretty disappointed. The movie deserved a Two Disc set, it got a 3 Disc set for much more expensive, but that sucks. The first disc should be the movie and the second should have been bundled. I was disappointed because it could have made the disc better. But the features here are good and watch able to make this disc a perfect. But it needs two given the hype. We got a blooper reel that's funny, we got a tour of Dracula's castle, and behind the scenes featurette's that are worth watching. It tells you good enough information. Their could have been a lot more due to the film's budget. One thing I liked was that I popped this into my X Box and I got to play a level of the Van Helsing game. A FEATURE THAT LETS ME PLAY THE GAME ON X BOX. The HULK DVD had this too and Van Helsing has it now. This disc is loaded. No wonder the sound is not the great though, there's a dam game in the disc to. But this is cool that it let's you play a level. The movie's Okay for features. Overall: Van Helsing is a movie you can watch yearly and to entertain you with it's silly fun. It's worth a watch but knowing people these days, I would recommend a rent, then think if you want to buy it or not. As for cool people, pick this movie up right away. If this was a low budget, this would get a 10. But given the hype to this movie, it deserved a second disc. So the Disc itself gets a 7, the features are great and stuff but it could be better. So Van Helsing is worth buying it, it's a must have on your shelve and I am happy I bought it. It's also worth a rental and deciding if you want to buy it or not. Watch Van Helsing, it's silly fun for the whole fam!

The Movie: When I was a kid, I used to be a fan of Garfield. I had the little comic books, I watched the cartoon, and I even had that suction cup toy that you stick on your car window. But that was WAY back. So when Garfield came along, I had no intention on watching it. But I bought this for the little ones since they wanted to see it, so I though 'meh, why not'. The movie is alright. It does what it was meant to do - entertain little kids. The story is pretty simple. Garfield pretty much runs the house and the neighborhood. The neighbors all love him and he walks around his own Jon. He's king of the castle. Jon has a crush on Garfield's vet Liz since elementary school. So when she asks him to adopt a dog named Odie, he does it. Soon, everyone is all over Odie. They love him and Garfield feels left out. So one night he locks Odie outside, and he runs away. The next morning, he's gone and Garfield doesn't care at first. But he realizes how the others feel and what he has done, so he goes off to find him. Its a simple story that the kids will enjoy and understand easily. They laugh and have fun, so it works. But when I watched it, I didn't find anything funny about it. It was mostly all 'I hate monday' and 'lazy' jokes. They kept using the same material over and over. And why was Garfield CG, but not Odie? It just looks so wrong. Garfield is the only CG creature in the whole movie. Why couldn't they have Odie as a CG character? Or then have Garfield as a real cat? It looks so out of place. But Garfield looks good though. He's nicely detailed but its nothing we haven't seen before (Monster's Inc is a good example). Acting is bleh. Bill Murray was a good choice to voice Garfield. He captures the character. But the rest, bah. So basically, this is strictly for kids. Adults won't enjoy unless your a hardcore fan of the fat cat. Now onto the actual DVD. The Disc: The disc itself is white with Garfield giving the piece sign. The exact same thing he's doing on the cover art. Nothing big. You have a choice between Full and Widescreen viewings. So thats a nice touch. Picture looks crisp. The colors stand out which is a plus since this is a very colorful and happy movie. Sound is not bad either. Dolby Digital 5.1 uses full advantage of it. Why? Well, read on... The Features: Since there are NO features, they had plenty of room to go hardcore on the picture and sound. Who do I mean by they? Do you have to ask? 20th Century Fox! For a movie that did pretty good at the B.O, this is just disgusting. Add this to the lineup of craptacular DVDs Fox likes to dish out. The only thing you got that relates to the movie is a commentary. But thats standard for all DVDs. The rest is just a Baha Men music video, and sneak peeks at Robots and some other movie (can't remember). What the hell? Are they just being lazy or do they not care? This movie was $20, but its still too much for a movie that gives nothing back. Keep it up Fox! Soon Sony is going to being buy your ass out just like they did to MGM! Just keep on giving us shit. Overall: Like I said plenty of times in this review, Garfield is only for kids. You won't enjoy it, but the little ones will. For those who are looking for some extra meat in this package will have to look elsewhere. Garfield is all skin and bones. No features whatsoever. So give it a rent. But if you're just looking to get this for your kids, little brother/sister then its an alright buy. Kids don't watch the special features anyway. Its not an expensive DVD either. Or if you don't want the DVD, just go for the VHS. Same shit really.

The Movie: It's your basic plot about two FBI agents who are about to lose their jobs. In order not to lose their jobs, they must baby-sit the Wilson Sisters, but something happens and the way they must get the case is by dressing up as the Wilson Sisters. Pretty basic, no brainier buddy cop drag movie. Who wants a complicated story anyway? The movie is jokes, the Wayans are the biggest jokers and seeing them dress up as movie was very funny. We all seen the drags movies but we have seen black guys being white girls. The movie is racial, but racial to whites and blacks which makes this so funny to see without being offended. The jokes are straightforward but this is a comedy that's worth a watch. This DVD is an unrated directors version, which was pointless though. They had like an extra 15 minutes in the movie that was dumb. There were scenes that did not fit in the movie like a rubber dildo scene. It was stupid and unnecessary and I was really disappointed in that. The movie had its negative parts, it ran for a bit to long, and they could have cut out the 15 minutes to make it better. In Theatre's it was good, this DVD version is not great. Pointless scenes. If you buy the theatrical cut which will be hard to find I would go with it. The Disc: It's with Marlon and Shawn smiling. Nothing big. It has no booklet, the packing is average. The quality in this movie is impressive and I liked the colors. Nice looking movie. The sound was a disappointment. I know this movie is a comedy, but I saw this one on the surround sound and it didn't use the 5 speakers in full effect. I could just hear it from one side, and it was annoying. The Features: You got an audio commentary, which is nice and average, and three featurettes that are worth watching. You also get a lot of trailers and deleted scenes, also some filmographies. It's good enough, but I was expecting more, since the movie did good at the Box Office, they could have added bloopers and On The Set with the Wayans they make this DVD funnier. The features are rental worthy. Overall: White Chicks is a very funny movie, that is forgettable but it's funny when you see it. I bought it because the Wayans are so funny when I watch this. The disc is average and its worth no more than 19.99. Fans of this movie should pick up the DVD, but pick up the theatrical version because this Unrated one blows. I think White Chicks was intended for people to rent. White Chicks is way worth your rental price and all of you must go and rent it fast. After that you can think about it and buy it when it's cheaper. It gets a 6 out of 10, so rent White Chicks. It's a good rental.

The Movie: In this remake to the classic, this movie delivers and was better than the original. One-day people wake up and everyone is turning into zombies because there is no room in hell. The movie focuses on the centre of some survivors who are trying to survive and kill the zombies. They find themselves a mall and live in it and try to cope with each other. Also the zombies come in place and they try to survive. A good storyline and great effects. I saw this movie at the theatre's and right after the Universal logo appeared I was into the movie, right until the final of the end credits. For the whole 105 minutes I was into this movie. The movie was non stop with action and horror, also lots of comedy that made me laugh. Dawn Of The Dead was greatly directed, acted and well written. This is a movie that's a thrill ride, a memorable one and one you'll be talking about after you see it. The blood and guts and zombie bashing made this a classic and the best zombie movie ever. It took so long to release this to DVD but it was worth. Dawn Of The Dead is very good and easily recommended. If you want to laugh, see some good action, get scared and most of all having a good time watching a movie. Dawn of the Dead delivers. The Disc: The packaging is excellent and the artwork, the disc is the zombies walking, but sadly the movie has no booklet, which is going to get a negative 1 after the final score. The quality is great, it's a souped up disc that good to watch on the big screen. The sound is great, the explosions are nice and the pop up sounds gets to you. Awesome experience when you watch this on DVD. The Features: You get plenty of featuerrettes and the making of the films. That's all you need for this. The features showed a lot of how this movie was made and each featurete was not like a minute long. They were more than 20 minutes long. They could have added some like bloopers though. The disc also contained cool deleted scenes and an option to see the best deaths in the movie. Great features. Overall: Dawn Of The Dead is probably the most entertaining movie in 2004 for me and it's worth to buy. The movie is great and it gets a perfect 10, easily memorable and the DVD is top notch, it loses a point for no booklet and it could have added a tip of more features. Dawn of the Dead is not a rental, it's a buy and you should all pick up Dawn Of the Dead ASAP if you want to be entertained. Worth the money and worth the time.
