Character Professions

The reasoning behind setting these up is to allow characters to be more well rounded than the normal rules allow for. All Scholars speak different languages and know some History and have some Investigation. These are the things that make a person a Scholar. But with so few points to spend in the character creation process characters tend to be less developed than they probably should be. This will allow scholars to have several languages plus know some History plus be able to Investigate stuff.

Buying a Character Package costs 4 Ability Points. Mortals, are limited to 1 Package. Vampires can buy a second Package at the cost of 5 additional Ability Points.


The Nobility

Greater Noble
(eq. to a King or Duke)
Requirement (Nobility Merit 7+)
Academics, Etiquette, Politics.
Any three (3) of Archery, Brawl, Dodge or Melee.
Any four (4) of Empathy, History, Intimidation, Law, Leadership or Linguistics.
Also gains 2 Politics or Court Influence.
Lesser Noble
(eq. to a Baron or Count)
Requirement (Nobility Merit 4-6)
Academics, Etiquette, Politics.
Any three (3) of Archery, Brawl, Dodge or Melee.
Any two (2) of Empathy, History, Intimidation, Law, Leadership or Linguistics.
Also gains 1 Politics or Court Influence.
Minor Noble
(eq. to a Knight or Lord)
Requirement (Nobility Merit 1-3)
Academics, Etiquette.
Any four (4) of Archery, Brawl, Dodge or Melee.
Any two (2) of Empathy, History, Intimidation, Law, Linguistics or Politics.

 

The Clergy

Greater Clergy
(eq. to an Archbishop)
Requirement (Church Rank Merit 7+)
Academics, Etiquette, History, Theology plus:
Any three (3) of Linguistics or Investigation.
Any four (4) of Empathy, Intimidation, Law, Leadership, Linguistics or Occult.
Also gains 2 Church Influence.
Lesser Clergy
(eq. to a Bishop)
Requirement (Church Rank Merit 4-6)
Academics, Etiquette, Theology plus:
Any three (3) of Linguistics or Investigation.
Any three (3) of Empathy, History, Law, Leadership, Linguistics or Occult.
Also gains 1 Church Influence.
Minor Clergy
(eq. to a Friar or Abbot)
Requirement (Church Rank Merit 1-3)
Academics plus:
Any three (3) of Linguistics, Investigation or Theology.
Any three (3) of Empathy, History, Law, Leadership, Linguistics or Occult.

The Peasantry

Peasant Any five (5) of Animal Kin, Drive, Scrounge, Pan Handling or Survival.
Any three (3) of Crafts, Fortune Telling, Hearth Wisdom or Herbalism.
