Mario has yet another party, but Bowser still gets no invitation! Looks like he's gonna have to do some more convincing... | ||||||||
Story - 7/10 It's a simple story, but good for the Party series. Every 1000 years, a star is born that is named the Millenium Star. This millenium, the Star has come to the Mushroom Kingdom, and has put Mario and his friends in a storybook! Now Mario and his friends have to collect 7 Star Stamps to be considered the Superstar by the Millenium Star. Characters - 10/10 Finally, the series adds two new characters. Waluigi from Mario Tennis and Daisy from Super Mario Land join the group. This is the only reason I gave it a perfect score. The characters still don't have their own abilities/status, but adding new characters is what we've wanted for a while, so it's finally happened. The newest non-playable characters are the Millenium Star, Tumble and Game Guy. Items - 10/10 Most of the old items are back, like the Mushroom. But there are also new items like the Bowser Cellphone, Reverse Mushroom and many others! Unlike Mario Party 2, the new items are pretty useful. The Bowser Cellphone lets you send Bowser to other players. The Reverse Mushroom makes another player move in the opposite direction. But one of the most useful ones, is the Boo Repellant, which sends Boo away when someone sends him on you! And the most important items are back, the coins and stars, which are the keys to becoming the Superstar! Humor - 2/10 It's funny when Wario loses... that's it. Graphics - 5/10 Same old Mario Party graphics. At least they're still better than Super Mario 64. Music - 8/10 Most of the music is alright, but the game settings music is my absolute favourite (you're listening to it now). It's really calm, but there's something about I just love. Fun Factor - 8.5/10 Much better than 1 & 2. More characters, better items, better boards and best of all, better mini-games! Weither this one is better than the 4th edition, I still don't know. It's hard to choose between them. You'll have to judge yourself. But, if you love the Mario Party series, this one will knock your socks off! If you don't enjoy the series that much, you probably won't get much out of it. |
