It is with deep regret and a heavy heart that the HOT
LINKS page has been discontinued.
Several reasons are behind this decision.
Among them are the aggressive spammers who search websites for addresses, links,
and anything to increase their spam mailing lists.
Another factor is the moving and re-naming of many sites, creating a constant need for webmasters to
invest much time in tracking down such sites and updating links.
A third factor is the ever-increasing tendencies of sites, both commercial and private,
to not bother with reciprocal links or acknowledgements of any sort.
This site is not commercial. Mephisto offers nothing for sale,
and makes no personal gain from this site –except for the satisfaction of
having possibly saved a life or two.
Domain name registration for this site is a wholly out-of-pocket expense on his part.
Links to commercial sites –especially with no reciprocation- then become nothing more than
free advertising for these commercial ventures.
Sadly, the “I’ll link to you if you link to me” agreement only lasts till the site’s next update
(which is sometimes within a month or less)
It is recommended that you perform a search, using terms, phrases,
and words, such as:
Fire
Eating, Fire Eaters, Flammables, Torch
Wick, Performance Props, Fire Twirling, Poi, etc.
A final word of warning and advice…
There are some newer books, videotapes, ebooks,
etc. now available to the general public, through magic dealers, sources such
as ebay and booksellers, and their own websites,
which you will discover through your searchs.
Please be aware that for all their hype, these sources of
information will cost you money, and will not necessarily give you any more
information than you are able to get for free from the Master.
