And of course the fan-fictions (most of which make Goku act really air-headed) don't help the siduation either and you will notice that in Goku biographies/profiles on almost EVERY DBZ website, you will usually read Saiyan poop (love that expression hehe!) like "He's not very smart" and what not... That in large is due to author's perception of him from the the he is portrayed sometimes in the DBZ anime and/or the North American dub. However, when DBZ newbies read the SAME crap from so MANY sources...they prejudge Goku and begin to think of it as fact, thus slandering Goku. Now of course, minus the fillers and crappy FUNi dub translations, there are other more minor factors involved in this 'global epidemic'; many misinterprate his carefree nature, outbreaks of rather goofy, child-like behavior (which surfases every now and again, both as a child and as a full-flege adult) tendency to give everyone another chance and sometimes gullibility, as stupidity. And unfortunately, it is his simplecity that, in large, is attributing to most of the Goku-bashing problem...of the Z-senshi/fighters, it makes him the easiest target for people to poke fun at; a perfect example of this is in Aaron's Goku profile on the Made From Goats site. Though incase you didn't realize, what he has said about Goku there isn't his true opinion since it's only a joke site meant as a parody on DBZ. You gotta admit, much of the content there is pretty funny! MFGOA (Made From Goats Otaku Alliance).com basically disses all the DBZ characters, but it bashes on Goku the most; due to the reasons I've stated above. (and also because of the fact that since he's the main character, his actions/decisions have bigger impact on things in the story than the others. Therefore, when the spotlight is on him so much, people tend to, more than any other character, focus on him when he happens to do anything wrong and flame him for it. it really isn't fair) Needless to say though, I was a bit turned off by the excessesive foul language and at times rather vulgar humor used there. Bottom line; while we all know that Goku isn't extremely intelligent when it comes to most stuff other than combat and martial arts, but he's no idiot either. With most of us, our strongest mental points tend to lie in our tallents and interests...and that applies to Goku. By SaiyaMel...
