Toriyama Interviews A list of genuine interviwes, taken with reknown creator of Dragonball/Z, Akira Toriyama! note that the interviews shown here have been carefully translated from Japanese into English...of which some have been taken from the daizenshuu. Special thanks to Socar15. more to come... |
Interview 1 A few notes about this interview (I'll probably do this for every interview I send you): As you'll probably notice, the interview starts and ends at rather abrupt spots. So it's obvious that they cut of the opening and closing statements, which probably weren't very significant to the interview, however all the necessary information is all there. Chances are all that was missed was an opening statement that said something like "Thank you all for joining us, specifically Toriyama-san" and a closing statement that said something like "Thank you all for your time, blah blah blah" as you will find in most interviews later on that I send you, this is a recurring theme. Both of those statements would have been made by Takeda (the discussion leader as well as a former editor of AT). Also, I would like to note that originally, this interview was a raw translation, but thanks to my retarded auto-grammar-corrector in Microsoft Word, many of the sentences have been reformatted to make more sense. I didn't even realize it had done this until later on when I went back to read some of it. However none of the content itself has been changed, so it's just a minor difference in grammar, but the overall interview is unaffected. From Shenron Times Volume 2 in the Daizenshuu. |
Interview 2 This separate interview was taken from a Dragon Ball Anime Main Staff Conference during Dragonball's 10th anniversary. The staff (also called "The Dream Team") at this conference includes: Kenji Shimizu, Fuji Television Producer; Shuntsuke Kikuji, Music Composer; Shigeyatsu Yamauchi, Sound Engineer; Masako Nozawa, Voice of Son Gokou, Son Gohan and Son Goten; Naoyoshi Yamamoru, Animation Director; Takao Koyama, Series Script Writer; Kouzou Morishita, Toei Producer. This interview was posted in the third volume of the Shenron Times taken from the Daizenshuu. And without further ado, here is the interview: |
