My Birth Place :Barobazar, PS.: Kaligonj, Dist.: Jhenidah, Bangladesh

Barobazar is a very famous place due to first stepping of Khanjahan Ali (a famous religious leader) in Bangladesh via Indian territory. There are a number of instances that are carrying the memories of Khanjahan Ali's creatures showing the development of Barobazar during that period. It is believed that Barobazar was the gateway of islamizing this territory and it was a capital during that period.

More than 20 differnt beautiful architectural mosques adjacent with the respective big ponds, and more than 50 clean water ponds, structured grave yards, a  platform of sea port near the bank of Bhayrab river certainly carry a big credit to demand that Barobazar was the first capital of this region. All illustrations were undiscovered a long time (more than 800 years) and it is assumed that either they  were being covered by earth for not living human being or they were destroyed by some rulers.

Master M. Bazlur Rahman, my father,  who supported/worked a lot for digging up all of these monumants. We are really grateful to him for his effort, and for highlighting these illustrations to the media. It is noted that Master B. Rahman is a school teacher and lives besides Galakata mosque (1 km away from Dhaka-Khulna highway) in Barobazar. He wrote a book about the history of Barobazar placing photographs of all monuments. Interested persons can collect the book writting a mail to him. Master Md. Bazlur Rahman, Vill.& P.O.: Hat Barobazar(7351), PS.: Kaligonj, Dist.: Jhenidah, Bangladesh. This book is written in Bengali only.

Barobazar is located in Kaligonj thana (police station) of Jhanidah district. It is 17 KM south from Jessore city where 26 KM north from Jhenidah city in Bangladesh. You can see this big bazar (mostly green vegetable market) while you are travelling bus from Dhaka to Khulna.

The region of Barobazar produces 25% of total vegetable of Bangladesh. Therefore, Barobazar is also called the paradise of green vegetables.
