PERT chart is a project management tool used to schedule, organize, and coordinate tasks within a project. PERT stands for Program Evaluation Review Technique, a methodology developed by the U.S. Navy in the 1950s to manage a nuclear submarine missile program.

A Gantt chart  is a  type of bar chart used in process or project planning and control to display planned work targets for completion of work in relation to time. Typically, a Gantt chart shows the week, month, or quarter that each activity will be completed and the person or persons responsible for carrying out each activity.
