Peanut Brittle |
|

|
|
2 cups sugar 1/2 cup water 1/4 tsp cream of tartar |
|
|
|
Place in heavy pan Cook without stirring to Light Crack - 280 deg. |

THEN ... |
|
|
|
Add to above mixture stirring constantly Continur cooking to Hard Crack 300 deg. |
|
|
2 tablespoon mollasses 2 tablespoon butter 1/2 teaspoon salt |
|
|
|
|
|
|
THEN ... |
|
|
|
2 cups salted peanuts 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
|
Add to mixture at once and mix quickly |
|
|
|
FINALLY ... |
|
|
|
Pour onto well buttered large cookie sheet Quickly spread thin with greased spatula
When cool - break into pieces
Store in airtight container |
