Teacher’s Presentation

It is recommended that teacher, with one computer connected to a projection device, familiarize students with the project
site prior to the beginning of any project implementation. Even though the site provides to students means to directly print their
handouts, it is also recommended that teacher print the handouts and request copies beforehand. The main reason is that student
will have to pay at the media center to print the handouts. We are talking about 15 pages per student (unless teacher prefers to
             have one handout per group)!

Cooperative Groups

It is recommended that the class is divided into collaborative groups of  3 and specific tasks are assigned to each member.
For instance, the group may have: 1 language art experts, 1 social studies expert and 1 math expert. Each expert will be responsible
for that element within the project. Let’s point out that the project instructions call for that and duties are assigned to each
            member!

Periodic Data Collection
                I
t is suggested that students take turns manipulating the computer and surfing over the internet. Let’s recall that the project
has seven (7) sections. The turns could be as follows:

SECTION I) Selecting the destination point
(social studies expert).

SECTION II) Gathering more pertinent information about the destination point.
(social studies expert)

SECTION III) Gathering pertinent information about the destination point.
(language arts expert)

SECTION IV: Traveling information.
(language arts expert)

SECTION V: Calculating distances, rate and time.
(math expert)

SECTION VI: Finding Currency Exchange Rates &  projections.
(math expert)

SECTION VII: Estimating in country expenses.
