"I am in your debt, Madam Director, and at your service"
- the Kirtan Loor corner
Kirtan Loor looked like a younger, taller Grand Moff Tarkin - a fact of which he was very proud. He had a visual memory retention rate of nearly one hundred percent, that is, he remembered even the smallest detail of everything he saw or read. As one can imagine, this quality was very useful for his work as an Intelligence Agent; but indirectly, it was also his weakness - Kirtan relied too much on his memory, letting his ability for analytical thinking atrophy, a fault that Ysanne Isard pointed out to him.

Kirtan used to work as an Imperial Liasion officer at CorSec. During that time, he created a good amount of animosity between himself and CorSec officer Corran Horn by demanding that CorSec should dedicate itself to hunting down Rebels, and most of all by letting the bounty hunter who had killed Corran's father go free.

Loor was afraid that one day Corran Horn would come after him and take revenge. Much more than that, though, he was afraid of Ysanne Isard, who could turn his stomach into a home for a restless Sarlacc with just one icy glance. Isard gave him the mission to destroy Rogue Squadron, letting him know that Horn had become a member of the Rogues; and later he served her as the leader of the terrorist Palpatine Counter-insurgence Front.

Though Kirtan didn't exactly like having to work for Isard, his fear of her made him behave in a very submissive manner. He would even kneel before her as one would when adressing the Emperor himself.
