| Shira Brie, a character from the old Marvel SW comics, has sometimes been called the "Mara Jade before there was Mara Jade". And indeed, her fate resembled that of the more well-known fiery-haired Emperor's Hand – but in mirror image. While Mara Jade went from obsessive hatred towards Luke Skywalker to friendship, and finally deepest love; Shira's feelings for Skywalker changed from a love that almost made her forget her duty towards the Empire to endless, vengeful hatred. While Jade eventually found her way to the Light Side of the Force, becoming a Jedi Knight and Master; Shira Brie embraced the Dark Side, becoming the Dark Lady Lumiya. | |
