One For The Fiddler

It's one for the fiddler, two for the tune
Three for the dancers, don't forget the moon,
Out of the frying pan, into the fire
Play me that sweet song of heart's desire.
The floor is all polished, the strings are in tune
The band's getting warmed up, feels just like June,
Ignoring the danger, or maybe in spite of it
Dreams are in motion, beginning tonight.....
And it's one for the fiddler, two for the tune
Three for the dancers, don't forget the moon,
Out of the frying pan, into the fire
Play me that sweet song of heart's desire.
Sliding and gliding, now it's "Off She Goes"
The "Tenpenny Jig"'s gonna warm up your toes,
"Tripping Upstairs" and "Over the Waterfall"
If you'll be my partner, we'll dance them all.....
And it's one for the fiddler, two for the tune
Three for the dancers, don't forget the moon,
Out of the frying pan, into the fire
Play me that sweet song of heart's desire.
The last waltz is "Far Away", don't let it end
We're still less than lovers, much more than friends
Music's a language that lives in our bones
Finds us and binds us wherever we roam.
And it's one for the fiddler, two for the tune
Three for the dancers, don't forget the moon
Ready, set, go--and it's into the fire
You are my sweet song, my heart's desire.
