Panhandle Waltz

Wide Texas sky, stars hanging high
Ready to dance with the moon,
For miles cross the prairie
Comes the sound light and airy
Of fiddles beginning to tune.
Going round and around,
Keep your feet on the ground
If there's romance it's nobody's fault,
Round and around, your heart's lost and found
When they're playing the Panhandle Waltz.
Blue Texas moon and a desert perfume
Magic of spring in the air,
Your troubles and sorrow have to wait for tomorrow
Tonight waltz away all your care.

Light-headed and dizzy, he's the right one, or is he?
Illusion is part of the dance,
The love that you find here you may leave behind here
So gamble, go on, take a chance.
