A few words about us: We are hobbyist breeders located in the east San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. We've been into Japanese style Akitas since 1990, when an acquaintance who was getting out of breeding presented us with a puppy.

We have no pretentions to being major breeders. We have (with the help of supermom
Nat-chan) produced four litters with a total of 27 heathy puppies. Most are in the Southern California area, though one is in Atlanta, one in Hawaii, and one was "repatriated" to Japan by her businessman owner when his tour of U.S. duty was finished. It's a point of pride with us that we have had 100% puppy survival to adulthood.

We lost Nat-chan to cancer in 2001. We now have
Matsu, one of her granddaughters. If things work out well we intend to have a litter sometime in 2004.

We are not into the "show scene", with its issues of ego and politics.  While a few of our pups have shown well, we are more interested in providing sound, stable puppies to families or individuals who appreciate, and can deal with, the qualities innate in the Akita.
