Watch Out For The Fakers
I feel the urgent need to talk to you about one of the growing issues that irks me as a professional tarot reader. It is something very important that I think you need to be made aware of because it could easily end up affecting you.

What bothers me is these 'deck creators' who have no actual professional tarot reading experience but they still attempt to claim they are somehow "experienced readers" when they aren't. A couple years of dabbling at reading cards will not make anyone an "experienced reader" and I think it is very important for you to know this. A few of these fakers even had the gall to author books pertaining to tarot reading when they definitely did not have the qualifications, knowledge, background, or the experience to be writing books about this subject. These are the worst offenders of them all. These deceptive fakers have nothing but superficial knowledge that they try to pass off to the public as profound wisdom when it isn't. I have read the so-called grains of 'wisdom' in their books and I can assure you that it is nothing but nonsense written by ignorant dabblers who do not have the slightest clue about tarot reading. Anything these posers say should be viewed as erroneous. People who are not qualified have no business authoring books about tarot or about anything else that is meant to instruct others. For instance: I have a superficial knowledge of Tax Law and what these dabblers have done would be like me authoring a book about Tax Law in order to instruct others about how it works. The end result is the same: ludicrous.

I've been reading professionally since 1987 and I can spot these despicable fakes from miles away. Here is how you can spot them too: watch the tarot groups and you will soon see who they are because they steer clear of any discussion that deals with actual tarot reading questions. They stay away from these discussions like the plague because they know they will be exposed for the frauds they are if they answer any posts needing help with a reading. I am sure if some of them happen to read this, a few may suddenly and foolishly start trying to 'help' others in an attempt to cover their ass. Most, if not all of them, will fail miserably because they do not have the experience to answer any tarot reading assistance questions and it will show in their responses. Should one happen to get lucky and bamboozle you with bullshit, your best defense against these imposters is to go into the archives, if the site has one, because that is where you will find the truth. What you will find is these people constantly promoting themselves but never offering to help anyone with a reading. That's your answer to their claims of supposed "experience." Now that you know their "experienced reader" claims are false, it is in your best interest to take anything these people say as worthless because it is. These shameful souls ignore the very first rule of Tarot Ethics which is to never, ever, lie about your experience. Being a tarot reader is one of the highest forms of public service to others and it requires total trust. If you lie about your experience, you are nothing more than a charlatan. Not only is fudging your credentials wrong and deceptive, you
will be found out sooner or later. Now that you know how to spot these manipulators, my advice to you is to never, ever, trust anyone who lies, or has lied about their experience.

Fortunately, you can rest assured that you don't have to be concerned about Maralee Fox-Heins's experience. She's been reading tarot a lot longer than I have, since 1973. She is the real McCoy.
