It was a homecoming of sorts for Matt.  He would be performing in front of his friends and family for the first time, and this time it was for the tag team crown.  Two facts played on Matt's mind most of all; the fact that this show was in Fayetteville, and all his friends and family were going to see him and his brother put on a show tonight.  Also, the fact that the titles were up for grabs made Matt twice as nervous.  Nervously, he paced the floors in the dressing room, wondering when this show was actually going to get started.

"Matt, will you knock it off?  You're making me dizzy." Jeff said to his brother, who was a bundle of nerves.  Jeff was nervous as well, but not nearly as anxious as his elder brother was.

The stagehand came to tell the brothers that they were on in five.  This warning seemed as if it was telling Matt that he had five minutes to prepare to bomb in front of the home crowd.  Jeff got into performance mode, whereas Matt meditated a little bit, and tried to get the nerves to go away.

"Matt, time to go, bro.  Hey, I know it's the first time in front of the home crowd.  So let's just do it like we always do, and not be worried about bombing totally, okay?" Jeff said, placing a reassuring hand on his brother's shoulder.

"Yeah, I guess you're right, Jeff.  Let's just go and do it." Matt said, ready to go to battle.

The long march down the hallways to the arena were only serving to get their juices flowing.  Tonight would be a culmination of years of preparing for a single moment in time; their first match  in the big time of the World Wrestling Federation.  Tonight these boys would get their first title opportunity. Well-wishers backstage sent the boys their messages of "Good Luck", "Break a Leg", and "be careful" as the boys walked out to the curtained area where they would be entering from.

The stage manager cued them, and they entered through the curtained entranceway, going to the ring, hearing the chants of the fans, and this only serves to get them even more pumped up for this moment.
