*Nemours Cardiac Center - This is where Matt has gone for all of his heart surgeries. It is my opinion, for many reasons, that this is the BEST place for HLHS surgeries in the world. (Feel free to ask me WHY I think it's the best!! =o)
*The Congenital Heart Information Network (TCHIN) - This site is an excellent resource and has a HLHS mail-ring that has provided us with many new friends and support!
*HLHS Information Page - A site put together by HLHS parents to help families with newly diagnosed HLHS babies. It lists treatment options, hospitals well known for HLHS treatment, things to ask the doctor, etc... This is a great page filled with a wealth of info from the parent's perspective.
*Picture of Hope - This site is very motivational! It shows pictures of families with HLHS children
getting together for a yearly event. Each year more families come. Lenore Cameron has a mission to get this picture to doctors everywhyere. Read about it at her site. (Her son, Jeffrey, also has a site.)
*Little Hearts - This is a support network for parents of children with chd's (or is now an angel) and to parents in utero with a baby with a chd. They have members from all over. Services provided are: support, parent matching, monthly support group meeting (in certain areas), lending library, email support group and annual picnic.
*Baby Hearts Press - This site has many valuable resources including a book entitled Hypoplastic
Left Heart Syndrome: A handbook for Parents written by Anna Jaworski. This book is a must
have for a parent of an HLHS child. It puts everything in simple terms that the average person can
understand.
*Children's Healthcare of Atlanta - One spot in this site gives an excellent discription of the 3
surgeries and wonderful diagrams to go with it.
