Educational Seminars
Purpose: To provide educational seminars on topics of interest to the elderly living-at home, their care- givers, family members and friends, Homebound Ministry, guardians, clergy.
California Telephone Access Program (CTAP)
A one-hour presentation conducted by the CTAP which discusses adaptive telephone equipment for those with hearing, vision, memory and/ or mobility difficulties.
How the Home Environment Affects the Health of Older Adults
Two-hour sessions conducted by MATTESON ELDER CARE SERVICES:
Session I - Clutter and your health. Addresses care planning issues related to Mobility & Activities of Daily Living; Nutrition; Elimination; Skin; Sensory/Communication; Psychosocial/ Activities; Medical Management and the importance of maintaining a clutter-fre environment.
Session II - Managing your "important documents." Addresses how identity theft affects the elderly; defines what is an "important document."; provides guidelines for assigning retention periods.
