On October 7th 1984 Matthew Hodgson "That One Guy" was born. He can'tremember that much of the 80's, but he loves them. His first childhood memory was in 1989 when he was in preschool they had a "wear you dad'sT-shirt and nothing else day". A boy ran over to a girl and looked under her shirt. Matt can remember in the early early 90's seeing 'Fat" by "Weird Al" on television but since he couldn't read he didn't know who sang it. Later Matt would find out. Another one of his first memories was when he was riding in a car with is mom and listening to another bites the dust and changing the lyrics and saying another ones rides the bus back when he was 6 or 7 - maybe 8. Also another time when he was listening to beat it on the radio in the car and changing the words to eat it (this is without even knowing about weird al or anything -- it just came natural). His grandparents had an accordion when he was 6 or 7 but they sold it in a yard sale. Through childhood he was made fun of a little bit in school for dressing his own way. In Grade school he was the class clown and always made everybody crack up. In middle school he was still trying to be funny the same way he was in grade school and it wasn't working so he kinda gave up on being a comedian and started to act "weird." In 1996 he was working on a model of a tie fighter (star wars) in his kitchen and he heard a song come on and he thought it was Gangta's Paradise ... but as it turned out it was Amish Paradise and as soon as he saw that... "It Began". He instantly fell in love with "Weird Al" Yankovic. His mom bought him Bad Hair Day and he loved it. He kept getting more and more "Weird Al" stuff and eventually became a hardcore fan. He got an accordion at age 12 from a pawn shop for $50.00 and taught himself how to play. He started writing songs in 7th grade Study Hall, parodies came a little after that. He still has some recordings from 7th grade -- they will be his "Rare" songs. In the 9th grade his Junior High (Ben Davis Junior) let him use the school studio room to record and he recorded 3 parodies and a polka and gave CDs out to his friends and they let their friends hear it and so on and pretty soon he started to get feedback and it was very good so he wrote more and more and let people hear them and they loved them. A couple years ago he made a website but it got shut down and now he has a new one (www.freewebs.com/thatoneguy). He is currently working on recording his top 11 songs along with a polka medley. The first CD should be done before 2003. You can also buy his "demo CD" -- it's basically just a collaboration of stuff he's already recorded. Matt will get a car in a few months and do a little "mini tour" in central Indiana. Matt sees good light in the future and Hopes to entertain millions.
