This past year has seen an increase with construction projects in town. From large projects such as Old Rochester Regional High School, Old Rochester Regional Junior High School, Old Hammondtown School as well as many new and re-model housing projects. These projects, and others, have put a serious strain on the Fire Department's current ability to keep up with the demand for inspections.          This comming year we have major developments such as the Bay Club, which includes several major buildings plus approximately 60 new homes and 36 town houses on Route 6. This is in addition to on going projects such as Center School and ORRJHS. The Mattapoisett Fire Department is committed to the inspection process, which helps reduce the possibility of serious incidents from happening in our town.
