I feel I have achieved quite a lot in the five years I have been bodyboarding, being selected for the Raglan surfing Academy 1998/1999 has raised my profile and allowed me to compete in more competitions. I am currently ranked number one in New Zealand, voted Surfing New Zealand Bodyboarder of the year for 2000/1 and I am committed to bodyboarding, I am certain I will do well in the coming season.
I travelled to Indonesia in June to practice surfing shallow reefs in anticipation for my up coming trip to Hawaii at the end of this year. I will compete in the Banzai Pipe line competition. I travelled to Australia for three weeks in August to compete in two international competitions to give me a Global Organisation of Bodyboarding (GOB) ranking. I competed again in WA and NSW doing well enough to get ranked at #32 on the Australasian GOB circuit, this will help set me up for the level of competition that I will be against in Hawaii. Travelling overseas will improve my international standing and get more exposure for my sponsors. I have a winning attitude and I am a good sportsman, I am also good ambassador for my sport and my sponsors.
What I need:
The cost of travelling to competitions from New Zealand is a major obstacle and I would appreciate all the help I can get. To reach my goals I need to compete and to compete I need to travel.
What I would do for you:
As my Profile gets higher and I get more exposure it is getting easier to promote my sponsors, people are starting to see which products and services I am endorsing. I would place your company's logo in plain view on the bottom of my board so with any publicity exposure I received it would be in sight for the public to see. I would also promote your company by positive word of mouth and stress to people how good and practical your product is for the things we do. This would put your company and your product in front of a large target audience.
I am sure that I would be a great ambassador for your company and I would promote your product as much as possible.
