Matthew currently both peforms and teaches and has played in various hotels and churches across the northwest as well as at various charity events at such places as golf clubs and restaurants, as well as the splendid Knowsley Hall, historic seat of the Earls of Derby. A highlight of Matthew's musical career so far was having the opportunity to play in the presence of former US President Bill Clinton and HRH The Duke of York.
As a pianist, the areas to which Matthew is suited include hotel lounge entertainment, corporate/wedding drinks receptions, restaurant, piano bar. His disposition is cheery and, without intrusion, always aims to lend an air of peaceful, pleasant purpose as guests enjoy their occasion, whatever it may be.
Matthew's repertoire is varied and he constantly updates the music he performs. Songs from the shows are among his favourites, together with music from such artists as Elton John, Richard Clayderman, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkle, Frank Sinatra, Rod Stewart and many more.
As an organist, Matthew has played many organs, both pipe and electric, in various churches across the northwest, including Birchley St Mary's, Corpus Christi, Holy Cross, Lowe House, Our Lady's Portico, Sacred Heart, St Austin's, St Bartholomew's, St Cecilia's, St Joseph's, St Julie's, St Margaret Mary's, St Mary & St Patrick, St Mary Immaculate, St Mary the Virgin, St Patrick's, Ss Peter and Paul, St Teresa's, St Theresa's, St Thomas of Canterbury, St Thomas's, as well as the organs of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool, and Manchester Cathedral.
