Exam Form: Test Date: Early May Total Time: 3 hours Section 1: Multiple choice (60 min.) = 45% of grade Total # of questions =50-55
Four/Five prose and/or poetry passages = 10-15 questions per passage
Section II: Essay (120 min.) = 55% of grade Three Essays 1. Analyis of a single poem or comparison of two poems 2. Analysis of prose, a given story, novel excerpt, or essay 3. Open essay on a given literary topic, to be supported by the student's own reading (40 min. for each essay) Exam is graded on a scale from 1-5 |
