Mattie: The Nutter
Ok Mattie, it's time to dish the dirt.  We've heard a rumour that when you wrote What I Go To School For you were writing about a real crush on a real teacher.

"OK.....I had a massive, massive crush on one of my science teachers when I was about 13.  I can't believe i'm telling you this.  She still lives near my mum so she'll know who she is!  I tried to be a bit flirty with her but it never worked.  Actually, I think she was married, so I had no chance - but that didn't stop me. I  even took her a bunch of flowers.  She accepted them and  said, 'Thank you very much Matt' and I was like, 'no, no, tell me you've always dreamed of getting flowers from me!'  Obviously I  didn't say that out loud -  - but I thought it."   "Everyone at school  knew I had a thing for her, but I was mortified  when my mates told my mum.  There was no escaping it - everyone knew I loved my science teacher!"

Matt's getting a bit hot under the collar just thinking about her, so he steps outside for some fresh air with the boys......

While they were sitting there a boy wanders over.  "Scuse me, what band are you?" he says.
"Slipknot," Matt tells him.
The boy looks puzzled.  Then his face brightens up and he scampers back to his friends yelling "Oi, its Slipknot - with their masks off."

Matt can't stop laughing.  He loves to wind people up.... and so do James and Charlie.  "I've laughed more this year than I've ever done before," James chips in.  "We're sure its got something to do with Mattie.  We take our music seriously," he says.  "We love all this.  But we also want it to be fun - we want people to have a real laugh and enjoy themselves while they're listening to our songs."  It's only a matter of time before Mattie, James and Charlie make it really big - but will fame change them?

"No way," Mattie exclaims, shaking his head to emphasise the point.  "I've got a group of friends i've known since I was four-years-old.  They're the most important thing in the world to me.  Big up the Molesey possee."

Mattie Fact: Mattie used to leave chewing gum behind his ear.  "When I was little I used to put it there before I went to sleep, but one day I woke up and it was smeared in my hair," he says.  "I had to have it all shaved off - I was in a right state."
