Victory in Mattswad/Got LILK? Motorsports was born in 2004 when musician Matthew Lewis noticed a startling lack of diversity in the sport of NASCAR. Most particularly, in the demographic of white males with afros. Within months, he had purchased three Chevrolet Monte Carlo racecars from the recently defunct Midwest Transit Racing and leased the cars and his garage to longtime business partner Rick Ware. The new venture fielded racecars in the NASCAR Busch Series for the comedienne Kim Crosby with Lewis sponsoring, promoting his new venture, Boudreaux's Butt Paste. In the offseason, Ware assumed full control of the operation, and Lewis left the sport to focus on his growing business opeartion.

But by the time the 2005 Chase for the Cup rolled around, Lewis was bitten by the racing bug again, and after serving as Mike Harmon's crew chief during the weekend of the Sam's Town 250, Lewis knew he was ready to start his NASCAR engines again. Meanwhile, businessman and long-time ARCA owner and real estate agent Larry Izzard LaKworanza (LILK to his friends) heard about Lewis' vision, and joined him in January 2006 to form the new racing organization.

Thanks to LILK's marketing genious, multiple drivers and sponsors have joined this prestigious organization. Employees of Roush Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, and STAR Motorsports have been often seen on VIM/GILK premises trying to learn their secrets for success. Their is a new sherriff in town. Its name is Victory in Mattswad/Got LILK? Motorsports.
