This year with UJC, we held a UJC “Around the World” Shabbat and a fundraiser with the Nitty Gritty restaurant. With the fundraiser, 10% of one day’s sales went toward the Jewish Social Services Domestic Abuse of Battered Women. Both events were successful.
The two student leaders were Harriet Lerman (hllerman@students.wisc.edu) and Hillel Kurlandsky (hakurlandsky@students.wisc.edu). However, next year Harriet will be in Israel and Hillel has just graduated. They both are more than happy to help in any way possible (UJC or non-UJC related topics), even thought they will not be on campus, so feel free to contact them.
On another note, next year UJC is closing their University Programs Department, thus there will not be a UJC student group on our campus.
