Tiny Amount of Power = Jumped Up No Marks.
One thing I fail to understand is why the smallest amount of power and responsibility, no matter how miniscule, often turns the lowliest urchin into some sort of Stalin character. These are never positions of any real importance, usually someone who has worked somewhere for many years but it is incapable of getting a real promotion is given the title of "Team Leader" and a tie/extra gold star.

There is a prime example of this in my very own place of work. I work part-time inputting data in an office, the job is pretty well suited to students because you can work whenever you like between 8.00am - 8.00pm and so 95% of the workers are students aged 16-23, myself included. However, this fellow is in his early 40s at least and claims that he does this job as well as working full-time as a supervisor in the Social Security offices as a means of paying his wife child support after their divorce.

At first I doubted that he had this full-time job, at least not as a supervisor anyway but having researched him it turns out he has, but that's not the only thing I found. As you will know it is hard to take orders from your "superiors" if you don't respect them, and I certainly don't respect some scruffy old scally who smells like cigarettes enough to listen to anything he has to say. This man didn't even sit an interview to get himself into the position of "Team Leader", a position which depsite his claims isn't even his, he is an "Acting Team Leader" in actual fact. The three real team leaders are friendly and easy to get along with and don't speak to the workers as though we are idiots, unlike him who speaks to people far more intelligent than he as though they actually care what he thinks and are respectful of his farcical authority. The fact that he has literally no idea what he is talking about and is unable to help anybody when prompted is further evidence that he is a waste of NHS money, he would also be a waste of bullets so hanging him with a re-useable rope would be a better option as i can later be applied to his no mark bretheren.

When his peers are around he is usually not a problem and doesn't bother anybody unless neccesary, but the second he is left alone with the workers he suddenly becomes the Fuhrer, storming around the place giving orders and berrating staff who are bemused as to why this oderous clown is screaming about pointless targets and trying to enforce discipline where it is clearly not required. I am not sure whether he is jealous of the student staff who are young with bright futures whereas he is an insignificant middle-aged no mark, or whether he is simply a twat.

Whatever the reasons behind his particular character flaws people like him in general are totally and utterly useless and would be better served down the mines or acting as apparatus such as goal posts or punch bags in under-priviledged areas.
