The History of Matty Golf

It all started two summers ago when Matt Tilton Messmer re-discovered his extremely old golf club set.  Him and David immediately set out to drive over 100 golf balls.  The boys had a blast and only came back with a quarter of the balls.  Soon after a group of boys consisting of Matt, David and Vinny "Dirt Bag" Tavagliione set out for a simple round of golf.....little did they know, they were beginning something which would acheive greatness and last for years to come..............                the website began that same summer and started off as a small aol personal publisher page.  It consisted of a main page with a few short updates, a bios and stats, a mhc archives, a tips page, and an extremely small stories page.  These were all very short and lacked the quality of a solid website.  Then came the move to an advanced publisher.  Matt tried many cheap and difficult website creators, but nothing worked until he came across goecities.  The site blossomed with MIDI's and many more links such as a durnk of the week and day camp sux page.  It started to cover not only golf, but the life of Matt and his friends.  Their drinking outings and fondest memories were all documented.  More and more joined the Matty Golf family.  This all improved going into the second summer.  It received a great new look, and tons of fans.  To this day it has almost 900 hits.  This is truly a site to be proud of.

*Ricky Frederickson-won tour on his first attempt and quickly received the most fan support of any champion. *Matt Messmer-Although his title run was oly 2 days, he won the first tournament and originated the MHC.  He was there from the beginning. *David Moses-David has been there the whole time along with Matt and has consitently challenged for the title.  He was MHC Champ one time.
