Cup Your Hands Gently
Careful now, cup your hands gently
for within them you hold my heart
see it's fragile bloom
crush not the silken petals
be aware of the treasure you hold
Softly now, speak only words of love
for my heart has tender ears
hear it's soulful song
quiet not the sweet melody
be still while my ballad is told
Protect now, feel the dream that is me
for my wings are made of wishes
watch as they spread wide
quench not their thirst for flight
be glad that I see the horizon
Promise now feed my heart wisdom
for I am eager to learn of life
smile as you let me fly free
frown not upon my mistakes
be proud of your creation
