Destiny's Laughter
Swept away by an ocean, drowning therein
weeping for lost chances, fast fading dreams
blaming fate for this cruelty, life's little lie
echos of mirth, mocking my need

Reaching yet backward, grasping at air
cursing the tidal wave, current so cruel
the flashing of memories, last sight to see
destiny's laughter, I am the fool
