| An Introduction to Poetry Alright folks, now pick a word, Come on friends, that's what you heard, Yes sir, you sir, try the queen, That's right, man, now you've seen It -- but, whoa, my girl's not here, Gracious! Goodness! Ain't that queer? Say what, sir? A little shady? Sure 'nough, it ain't no lady, Just for wearin' a pretty dress, But, listen, friends, it's no mess, Come on, fella, it's no thing, Go ahead, bud, you try the king. A king makes a real fine sound, Not too sharp, not too round, And being boss, now there's a job, Won't see the man buck no mob, That's a fella who can make his mind, --Oops, sorry, not your kind. Okay, my friend, just once more, You got it, pal, this time sure. No lie, pal, you said it neat, That's the play, short and sweet. --Easy? Sure, just get the knack, Okay, brother, do you know jack? |
