1971 MBG-GT Right-Hand-Drive

mgbgt rhd 1971

I have owned this car for over 20 years. It was running pretty good when I bought it but did need some mechanical work. The car was driven daily for many years, Summer and Winter, in Massachusetts. Around 1989 I decided to strip the car and start some restoration. I dis-assembled most of the body and stripped most of the Glacier White paint. Later I moved to Arizona and the MG is still in Massachusetts with my son. Hoping to get the MG back together and out here in Sunny Arizona.

Over the years I had become an MG fan and have many repair/restoration manuals and MG books. My interest in MG's started while in England from 1961-65 with the USAF stationed at RAF Bentwaters/RAF Woodbridge. I married Maureen in 1962 at Ipswich, Suffolk. Was interested in the 1962 MG Midget and could have bought it for $1250.00 brand new.

I am hoping to get my son, Mark, to get the MG back in one piece and paint it. Then to get it out here in Sierra Vista, AZ. It is a fun car to drive, especially being a rare RHD model.
