Welcome to the Maquis Alliance Vessel Dragonstorm MAS-9701A. I am "CC" your host.
Let me tell you a short story......
One day while on a deep space mission for Starfleet all was going well when... (attention tone) "Captain Walker" chimes the computer. "Yes CC"? replies the Capt. "Sir, it appears that we have stopped, but I heard no command to do so" The Capt. looks at the Helmsmen, "Helm have we stopped"? "No sir I am showing warp 4, on course for the Delta Quadrent, Sir" Replied the Helmsmen. "CC, check your sensors again, if need be do a level 1 diagnostic." "Aye, aye Captain" replies the computer.
Ten minutes later.... (attention tone) "Captain Walker the ship is not moving, not even floating, we are dead in space. Helm please turn off the inertial dampers" The Captain spun around "BELAY that Helm, CC what are trying to do? You know that would turn us all into salsa on the bulkhead" A few shocked looks and a few chuckles. "Captain, there is no forward movement, Turn off the inertial dampers and try a turn" Capt. Walker looked at his crew. Most had not spent much time out here, a few old hands, but most were pretty young. "Helm slow us to 1/2 impulse. Soon as we are at 1/2 impulse make a turn to the right." Helm "Aye, Aye Sir" The Helmsmen worked the controls and said "Turning to the right sir" When nothing happen the Captain looked at the controls hit a button on the arm rest "Engineering tell me whats going on down there" twenty seconds go by.... "Engineering, this is the Captain respond now"
Still nothing. "Commander Trenton you have the Bridge" as he walks towards the door to the turbolift a slight gray fog envelops the bridge."Captain Walker? Commander Trenton? Where did everybody go?" chimes the Computer.
