Billed as the first Science Fiction convention in the Philippines, New Worlds 2003 is a join event with Via Astris, the Philippines only Star Trek Club based in Makati. Most major Sci-fi organizations in the Philippines are lined up to be represented. New World coincides with the release of the movie Star Trek: Nemesis.
